Human review required
The operator sees extracted details alongside the source documents. They correct, complete or approve the information before it goes to CargoWise.
Document to CargoWise
Turn packing lists and bills of lading into booking data your team reviews before sending to CargoWise. Stop retyping shipment details from documents.
How it works
Your operator uploads a packing list and bill of lading. CargoMode extracts the container numbers, weights, cargo descriptions and party details. The operator reviews the extracted information against the source documents and corrects or completes it. Once approved, the booking syncs to CargoWise through your configured connection.
Built for: Freight forwarders who copy shipment details from PDFs into CargoWise bookings.
Bring packing lists, bills of lading and commercial invoices together in one booking.
Check container numbers, weights, cargo and party names against the documents. Correct or complete the information.
Send the reviewed booking data through your configured connection and check the result.

CargoMode does not replace CargoWise. It handles document extraction and review before your team sends the booking to your CargoWise company.
Your CargoWise eAdapter connection is configured once. Bookings sync to the correct company when an operator approves them.
More than one workflow
When shipping documents arrive in an email, forward them to your organisation's CargoMode address. The attachments enter the document workflow and CargoMode replies with a link back to the booking for review.
Useful when: Documents arrive in inboxes and someone has to download, upload and re-enter them.
An authorised sender forwards documents to the organisation's configured address.
Use the link in the return email to open the booking in CargoMode.
Check the details before using the CargoWise sync workflow.
Email intake requires setup for your organisation and registered senders.
Common questions
Your operator uploads the packing list and any related documents. CargoMode extracts container numbers, weights, cargo descriptions and party details. The operator reviews the extracted information against the documents, corrects or completes it, and then approves a sync to CargoWise through your configured connection.
No. A human operator reviews the extracted information before approving the sync. CargoMode does not send data to CargoWise without that review and approval step.
The workflow shown here is built around CargoWise. Document extraction and review may still be relevant for other systems, but the connected sync requires CargoWise. Tell us which systems you use so we can assess the fit.
The document workflow supports packing lists, bills of lading and commercial invoices. Document layouts and quality vary, so we recommend checking representative examples from your own workflow during a demo.
Your operator reviews the extracted details alongside the source documents and corrects or completes the information before proceeding. Clearer documents help, but automated extraction still needs a human check.
Yes. Once email intake is set up, registered senders can forward documents to their organisation CargoMode address. CargoMode processes the attachments and sends a reply with a link to continue working on the booking.
No. Forwarding an email creates the booking and extracts the information. The operator still reviews the details and approves the CargoWise sync.
Your CargoWise eAdapter connection is configured once during setup. After that, approved bookings sync to the correct CargoWise company through that connection.
Yes. Tell us what you want to test when booking the demo and we can agree suitable sample documents in advance. Redacted or example documents can help demonstrate the workflow without exposing unnecessary customer information.
