Client availability depends on your account and workspace policy.
A clear boundary around your data. Access is tied to your assigned company and environment. Job costing needs separate consent. CargoWise credentials stay on the server, and these tools cannot write back.

The useful details.
Is this another CargoMode chatbot?
Your conversations happen in Claude, ChatGPT or your compatible MCP client. CargoMode handles the CargoWise connection, access permissions and source retrieval. You use CargoMode Settings to connect and manage access.
What is MCP?
Model Context Protocol is a standard that lets an AI client call tools exposed by another service. Here, the client asks CargoMode for specific CargoWise job data after you authorise access.
Can I connect immediately?
This is a read-only pilot. Your CargoMode administrator needs to enable the service and assign an active CargoWise connection. You also need a client account and workspace policy that allow custom remote MCP connections. Contact us to arrange setup and validate a representative job.
Can it change bookings or post financial transactions?
No. The current tools retrieve information only. They do not create or update bookings, post transactions or send messages. You can revoke a client’s access from CargoMode Settings.
Does it find every problem across the business?
This first release retrieves known jobs. It does not scan a complete job inventory or monitor continuously. Proactive exception reporting is a later phase. Job costing is not a posted-ledger or cash report.
Where does my data go?
Requested data is returned to the AI client you authorise and is subject to that provider’s terms and your workspace settings. Your CargoWise credentials stay on the CargoMode server. Access covers the assigned company; separate branch restrictions are not available in this release.
Start with one job. Prove the connection.
