  • One master, three house bills.

A master B/L, three house B/Ls and a packing list, dropped in as they arrived. Every box lands under its own house bill, then one sync builds the consol. 1:03

  • Caught before CargoWise.

A house bill uploaded to a second job, a container number with a wrong check digit, and an arrival date keyed before departure. All stopped before anything reaches CargoWise. 59s

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What does CargoMode do?

CargoMode helps freight teams turn incoming documents and emails into structured information they can work with. Its workflows cover document extraction, booking review, CargoWise export and preparing RFQ reply drafts from Outlook.

Who is CargoMode for?

Freight forwarders and logistics teams that spend time retyping shipment details, handling emailed documents or responding to quote requests. It is particularly relevant when operations use CargoWise and enquiries arrive in Outlook.

Does CargoMode replace CargoWise?

No. CargoMode works alongside CargoWise. Your team brings documents into CargoMode, reviews the extracted booking information and approves the transfer through your configured CargoWise connection.

Which shipping documents can we process?

The document workflow supports packing lists, bills of lading and commercial invoices. Document layouts and quality vary, so we recommend checking representative examples from your own workflow during a demo.

Does CargoMode handle consolidations?

Yes, for full-container consolidations. Upload the master B/L, the house B/Ls and the packing lists together and each container lands under its own house bill; the job syncs to CargoWise as one consol with a shipment per house bill. Each house shipment currently takes the job’s shipper and consignee, and LCL co-loads, where several house bills share one container, are not supported yet.

Can we forward shipping documents by email?

Yes. Once email intake is set up, registered senders can forward documents to their organisation’s CargoMode address. CargoMode processes the attachments and sends a reply with a link to continue working on the booking.

Can we go from the reply email to CargoWise?

The reply brings your operator back to the booking in CargoMode. They can review the extracted information and use the configured CargoWise workflow to sync it. Forwarding an email does not replace that review and approval step.

How does the CargoMode Outlook add-in handle RFQs?

Open a request for quotation in Outlook and use the CargoMode add-in to capture its shipment requirements. With the mailbox connected, the workflow prepares a reply draft for review, with the related enquiry available in CargoMode.

Are quotes sent to customers automatically?

The Outlook RFQ workflow prepares a draft. Your team reviews the shipment details, pricing and wording, makes any necessary changes and decides when to send it. A prepared draft is not a confirmed rate or booking.

What if the extracted information is incomplete or wrong?

Your operator reviews the extracted details alongside the source documents and corrects or completes the information before proceeding. Clearer documents help, but automated extraction still needs a human check.

Can we use CargoMode if we do not use CargoWise?

Document review and RFQ handling may still be relevant, but the connected booking workflow shown here is built around CargoWise. Tell us which systems you use so we can assess the fit and any integration work before you commit.

What is involved in getting started?

Start with one workflow and a small group of operators. We review your document types, the people handling them and the systems involved. CargoWise export and Outlook drafts require the relevant connections and access to be configured.

Can we see a demo using our own documents?

Yes. Tell us what you want to test when booking the demo and we can agree suitable sample documents in advance. Redacted or example documents can help demonstrate the workflow without exposing unnecessary customer information.

How much does CargoMode cost?

Contact us to discuss pricing for the workflows and volume you need. Bring an estimate of your document or enquiry volume and the number of people involved so we can discuss a suitable starting point.

What will we cover in a demo?

We start with the work that slows your team down, walk through the relevant document, email or RFQ workflow and show where your operators stay in control. We then discuss connections, access requirements and a practical first use case.
